Thermostable Coating (8160) has a coefficient of expansion similar to that of concrete allowing it to tolerate large temperature swings (thermal-shock) and serve exposure to wet and dry temperatures up to 220°F. It does not contain VOCs, resists caustics, organic and inorganic acids and many other harsh chemicals. This urethane meets all USDA/FDA guidelines for use in federally inspected facilities.
Urethane Coating Features:
- Highly resistant to thermal shock and elevated temperatures
- High compression strength and abrasion resistance
- VOC compliant
- Can be field tinted with a variety of colors
- Tolerates up to 6 lbs. per sq. ft. of MVTR (Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate)
- Will tolerate damp surfaces during installation
- Self-priming over bare concrete substrates
- Can be applied to freshly poured concrete after minimum 7-day cure time
Cementitious Urethane Topcoat (8160 D):
- Used as a heavy-duty topcoat over Thermostable Coating
- Tolerates large temperature swings and exposure to wet and dry temperatures up to 220°F
- Applied by squeegee and roller
- High abrasion resistance
- Broad spectrum chemical resistance
- Self-priming over bare concrete substrates
- Can be applied to freshly poured concrete after minimum 7-day cure time
- Can be applied vertically
- VOC compliant
- Tolerates up to 6 lbs. per sq. ft. of MVTR (Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate)
- Can be field tinted with a variety of colors
- Satin/lower gloss finish
- Will tolerate damp surfaces during installation
